❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about appointments, telehealth, billing, and more.

How do I schedule an appointment? +
You can book online via our patient portal, call our appointment line at (512) 555-0824, or use the contact form above. New patients are welcome; we’ll send you intake forms via email. Same-day appointments may be available for urgent but non-emergency concerns. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance for routine visits.
Do you accept insurance? What about self-pay?+
Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medicare, and Medicaid (Texas). We also offer transparent self-pay rates. Our billing team can provide a cost estimate before your visit. For uninsured patients, we offer a 15% discount when paid at time of service. Contact billing@nextgenhealthhub.com for a personalized quote.
What telehealth options are available?+
NextGenHealthHub offers secure video visits for follow-ups, mental health therapy, medication management, and minor acute conditions (cold, rash, etc.). Telehealth appointments can be booked directly via the patient portal. You'll receive a Zoom-for-Healthcare link before the session. Same-day telemedicine is often available. Please ensure you have a private space and stable internet connection.
What is your cancellation and no-show policy?+
We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid a fee ($35 for general visits, $70 for specialty procedures). No-shows (missing an appointment without notice) incur a $85 charge. Repeated no-shows may result in being required to prepay for future visits. Exceptions made for emergencies, severe illness, or verified technical issues. You can cancel by phone or patient portal.
How do I request prescription refills?+
Refill requests should be submitted via your patient portal or by calling our nurse line at least 72 hours before your medication runs out. Controlled substances require an in-person or video visit every 3–6 months depending on state law. We do not process refill requests on weekends or holidays. Always check with your pharmacy first to avoid delays.
What should I bring to my first appointment?+
Please bring a valid photo ID, insurance card (if applicable), list of current medications and allergies, relevant medical records from previous providers, and a completed new patient intake form (sent via email). Arrive 15 minutes early. If you are a telehealth patient, have your ID ready and be in a quiet space.
Is my health information kept confidential?+
Absolutely. We follow strict HIPAA guidelines and maintain physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. Our EHR is encrypted, and all staff sign confidentiality agreements. We never share your data without explicit consent except as required by law. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
How do I access my lab results or medical records?+
All patients have access to a secure patient portal where lab results, visit summaries, and immunization records are posted. Results are typically available within 48–72 hours. You may also request a copy of your medical records by submitting a written request to our Health Information Management (HIM) department. A nominal fee may apply for paper copies.
What languages do you speak?+
Our clinical team is fluent in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, and Arabic. We also have access to professional medical interpreters for over 150 languages at no cost to you. Please note your language preference when booking an appointment.
Do you offer travel vaccines or pre-op clearance?+
Yes, we provide travel health consultations, routine vaccines (flu, COVID-19, Tdap, etc.), and pre-operative clearance exams. Pricing varies depending on vaccine type. Please book a β€œtravel health” or β€œpre-op clearance” appointment specifically so we can allocate appropriate time.
What if I have a complaint or want to provide feedback?+
Patient satisfaction is our priority. You can submit feedback anonymously via our website, speak to our patient advocate during business hours, or send an email to feedback@nextgenhealthhub.com. We respond to all complaints within 5 business days and use your input to improve care.
How do I request a reasonable accommodation for disability?+
NextGenHealthHub is ADA-compliant. Our facility includes wheelchair access, accessible exam tables, and sign language interpreters upon request. Please contact our accessibility coordinator at (512) 555-0892 or email ada@nextgenhealthhub.com at least 72 hours before your appointment.
